Happy September! I’m kicking off this month by sharing a review of the lovely Whitney English Week On One Page Planner with you! I cannot tell you how much this planner has changed my life on a daily basis!

Running a business of my own, I’ve used countless planners and goal organizers. In recent years, I’ve consistently used the Simplified Planner and I’ve tested out many others. Now, are you ready to hear my thoughts? I’ll go on the record and say that the Whitney English Planner is the first planner I’ve ever used that is absolute PERFECTION! After using other planners for some time, there was always something that I felt needed tweaking. Things like page layouts, paper quality, overall size and weight are just a few. Some were too detailed and overwhelming, others a bit too simple. However, with the Whitney English Planner, I’ve yet to find even one thing that I would change!

Being a creative — specifically a wedding cake designer, there are certain things I’m always looking for in a product. Here are my top three:

Design

Quality

Functionality

I also like to know ALL of my options before making a decision and I’m very much a perfectionist whether I like it or not. I try my best to run my business this way and give my clients the best experience and deliver a product they will LOVE! So, it’s only natural that I would look for the same qualities when purchasing an item from any other business. I also love supporting other small businesses and the Whitney English Brand delivers in all three categories I mentioned above. Whitney truly pours her HEART into this brand! She even offers a Planner replacement for free if you happen to damage yours while using it! So let’s begin the breakdown of how the Whitney English Planner is designed and more importantly, why it has yet to fail me.

Academic Year Planner by Whitney English

At first glance, this planner is GORGEOUS! I’m currently using the 2020 academic year in the Sonoma Light Gray finish. It comes packaged in a sturdy book-like sleeve in the same matching pattern for storage. This case is so pretty, I’ll even keep it displayed on my bookshelf once the year is over!

Every Whitney Planner has a vegan leather cover with metallic gold foil details. It feels good to the touch and oddly enough, even smells good! This is also the first planner I’ve seen where the coils are hidden on the front which is aesthetically pleasing and I never have to worry about the coils getting bent. You can fold the planner back onto itself for easy writing as well!

Now on to the inside! Upon opening, there is an accordion fold front pocket to add whatever you wish! I like to keep notecards, stamps and stickers in mine, but Whitney also sells a variety of A5 pocket notebooks in the prettiest patterns that also work well here!

The paper is a 100 GSM vellum finish in the softest ivory color. The perfect shade between a  cream and white. I like the fact that it isn’t bright white. It’s easy on the eyes and soft to the touch. I use the Whitney English Pen as well as the Paper Mate Flair Felt tip pens and the Uniball Gel pens and I never have any issues with them bleeding through.

Next, here are the details that truly make this planner stand out against the rest and why it has yet to fail me. The Week On One Page Format combined with a Monthly HEART goals check and  Tasks Section is the perfect layout. I like the fact that you have room to write your appointments and tasks for each day as well as quadrants to categorize all of the never-ending lists and things that pop up throughout the week. I also LOVE the fact that the weekends are kept together with a monthly overview and Monday start. The Monthly spread also has lightly lined spaces so you can write neatly and the Holidays are noted with colored graphics. Whitney also added a Notes, Reference and Index section in the back with plenty of space to help you stay organized.

The HEART Goals monthly check in is an extra bonus! This helps me keep track of what is most important throughout the year. It’s easy to get off track with goal setting, and Whitney has simplified this process to make it easier than ever to manage.

I literally cannot think of a single thing that I would change with the Whitney English Planner! I also want to thank Whitney for sending me this lovely planner to review! I'm thrilled to be a part of her new Launch Team this fall and we have much more in store for you all! I love it so much, I’m planning to do a giveaway of this academic 2020-2021 Blue Pierre Print on IG later this week, so stay tuned! Also today only, Whitney is offering 15% off everything in her shop. How awesome is that?! Her 2021 planners are set launch on Wednesday, September 16, YAY!

XO,

Ashley
