Ashley Cakes has become known as a premier boutique wedding cake studio in the Triangle area. In 2017, we were chosen as one of the "Best 21 Bakeries of the South" by Reese Witherspoon's blog, Draper James. We are a husband & wife team, and choosing to stay small and exclusive allows us to personally handle every detail of our cakes. Since our launch in 2005, we have delivered well over 2,000 wedding cakes to our wonderful clients. Our cakes have been featured on television, won numerous awards, and have been published in some of the top wedding magazines and blogs in the industry! We are so grateful for all of the support we have received over the years from our wonderful clients and vendor friends!

I am a self-taught baker & cake designer with a love for food and anything sweet! My interest in baking began when I was very young, and I made my first decorated cake when I was 10 years old. I could always be found in the kitchen alongside my mom helping her bake cakes, cookies and pies. My dream was to be the next Martha Stewart (and honestly, it still is today)! When I wasn’t baking, I would spend countless hours in the bookstore poring through recipe books and buying every cake decorating book I could find! What started as a hobby became a full-time profession in 2005 when I married the love of my life, Josh. I made our very own wedding cake and with his help soon after, we launched Ashley Cakes! I have an eye for detail, visual styling, and I strive to make the most beautiful and delicious cakes that are “almost” too pretty to eat!

While I do love the Office, since my Grandfather was actually IN the original Hawaii Five-O, it's always my favorite!
My interest in cakes came after Ashley and I were married! I've always loved sweets and had the luck of growing up next door to my grandmother who was an AMAZING baker, but Ashley really pulled me into the cake world.
I have a degree in computer art and animation, and she quickly taught me how to transfer my artistic skills over to cakes! We have been working together full-time since 2007, and I would not have it any other way. Getting to work alongside my best friend every day and create delicious works of art every week is truly a dream job!

We love interior design! We have completely redesigned and renovated our home over the last few years. It's so much fun to transform a space!
We love the adventure of visiting new places and making friends where ever we go. The next location on our bucket list is Mallorca in Spain!
We love to explore new restaurants try new dishes! We are both foodies at heart. Mexican, Italian, and any type of seafood are just a few of our favorites!
We give all credit to God for our business, our life, and our salvation. We are so thankful for the grace and unconditional love that Christ has shown in our lives.
